Our Rating System

If you're new to us and haven't noticed, we use a 10.0-point scale to score our album/single reviews.  Emphasis on the .0 part.  We use the tenths place of the rating (e.g. 8.6) for ultra-super-mega precision.  It would be ridiculous, however, to assign an explanation to all one hundred possible scores in our system.  So here is our quick-hitting, general explanation for assigning particular scores:

10.0 : Basically, best of the decade.  Unmistakable genius in all aspects.

9.0 : A sure-fire standout of the year

8.0 : Great achievement

7.0 : Pretty good

6.0 : Interesting

5.0 : Just OK

4.0 : Someone goofed

3.0 : Is this a joke?

2.0 : What the hell is wrong with him/her/them?

1.0 : Highly-offensive anti-music

0.0 : Unratable due to violation of moral law
