Harlem Shakes For the week of South-by-Southwest 2010, QRO shines a light one last time on the best band of SXSW 2009, the late Harlem Shakes.
On September 19th, 2009, Brooklyn Vegan reported that Harlem Shakes broke up, which has unfortunately been confirmed. Guess this won't be a better year...
Name: Harlem Shakes
Associated act(s): Arms
Hometown: Brooklyn, NY
Members: Lexy Benaim, Todd Goldstein, Brent Katz, Jose Soegaard, Kendrick Strauch
Albums: Burning Birthdays EP (2007), Technicolor Health (2009)

If the band was an animal, they'd be: the funkiest chicken that's ever crossed the road
Or if they were a food, they'd be: the bootleg liquor that kept the rent parties of the Roaring Twenties going
What about a piece of furniture?: a coat rack that can dance
Okay, how about something to wear?: Joseph's technicolor dreamcoat
Animal, vegetable... pick a mineral: nothing but gold
A side character from The Simpsons : Dr. Nick Riviera - "Hi, everybody!"
Deadly weapon: the switchblade that wins in a knife fight
Name an author: F. Scott Fitzgerald
If they could have one superpower, what would it be?: technicolor immortality
Umm... An office supply?...: that bouncing, clacking metal balls-in-a-row thing
Figure from Greek mythology: Hermes
Color of the rainbow: technicolor
If the band were one of the above similies, they'd be: color of the rainbow
