I was able to have a very brief moment backstage with EOP’s Eric Rollin while at Columbus, Ohio’s Fashion Meets Music Festival.

QRO: You guys just played an amazing set! Are you guys from the Columbus area?

Eric Rollin: Yes, Columbus OH.

QRO: How long have you guys been playing?

ER: Probably around, I’d say two or three years. Maybe more.

QRO: How did EOP get together?

ER: We all actually know each other through a bunch of different bands so we all started playing together here in town through jam sessions and just kind of grew from there. We all kept in contact and started making music.

QRO: Do you have any CDs out yet?

ER: Yes we have a CD out. It’s called Here. The band’s called EOP and I think it’s on Pandora, Spotify, Amazon, and all that stuff. It’s like five or six tracks. Right now we are going to take a little break. We just finished our album so we are going to take a break, get some more work done, play with some other bands, and then come back together.

QRO: Who wrote the music for Here?

ER: Somewhat collaborative but the main writer is Evan Oberla and myself. My name is Eric Rollin and I write the lyrics. Evan writes all the music.

QRO: Your show is so high energy and the whole crowd was enjoying it. Do you mostly do local shows?

ER: It’s mostly local. We have played in New York a few times… Buffalo, Utica. We will probably go to New Orleans because Evan just moved there. I would personally like to go overseas. I would really like to do something like that but right now we are going to take a break and get all of our ducks in a row and then hopefully that happens.

QRO: Well, like I said, I think you guys are amazing and I look forward to seeing you play again.

ER: Thank you so much, and it was nice meeting you.
