QRO: How long have you been singing and playing the guitar?

Todd Price: I have been singing and playing guitar for 20 years.  I got my first guitar for Christmas.

QRO: How did you all meet?

TP: Craigslist, I was looking for a band, they were looking for a singer.  Problem solved.

QRO: How did you come up with the name, Drive By?

TP: It was a violent and abrupt image I had in my head.  Kinda summed up how I was feeling at the time.

QRO: What's the writing process like?

TP: I write and demo the songs and then bring them to the guys and we flesh them out by rehearsing them at our practice space.

QRO: How did you get involved with Riot Squad records?

TP: Our manager and close friends own and operate the label.  It was an easy choice.  They care very much about this band.

QRO: The album, A Delicate Situation, has only been out for a little over a month - how have reactions been so far?

TP: It’s doing everything we could have hoped for.  People seem to like it.

QRO: I found your video for “Boring” pretty interesting.  Who came up with the concept?

TP: Director Kevin Estrada wrote the treatment.  We are very happy with the way it came out.

QRO: How was playing Madison Square Garden with Taking Back Sunday and My Chemical Romance?  Being a band from the area had you played with them before?

TP: It was our first show with Taking Back Sunday.  We’ve done several tours with My Chemical Romance.  The show was a dream come true.

TP: It changes. Right now, I’m having a lot of fun playing “America”.

QRO: A lot of bands I've seen lately have been incorporating cover songs in to their sets, does Drive By do any covers?

TP: We are rehearsing an old Nine Inch Nails song for our tours in June.  We’ve done some Billy Joel and Fiona Apple in the past.

QRO: The band seems to be comfortable on camera - you have a photo blog and a video blog - did this start out as something private that evolved into something public?

TP: We are exhibitionists at heart so sharing pics and vids with the world feels pretty natural.  Plus, it gives people a glimpse of our personalities.

QRO:  When it comes to Drive By specifically do you think the internet is more helpful than harmful? (as far as music being downloaded, etc)

TP: It can only help a band like us. I don’t care about people downloading.  If they become fans and we can see them at a show someday, so be it.

QRO: What's the best part of being in a band?

TP: Hearing an idea in your head and being able to bring it to life.

QRO: If you weren’t in a band right now, what would you be doing?

TP: I would be recording bands, I’d be working in and around music, and be trying to get into film in some capacity.

QRO: What have you been listening to lately?

TP: Billy Talent, Lost Alone, The Rolling Stones.

QRO: Do you have any advice for bands who are just starting out?

TP: Play shows…as much as you can!!!

QRO: What does Drive By have planned for the summer?

TP: A week with I Am the Avalanche and Jet Lag Gemini, then 2 weeks with the Pink Spiders
