The Brooklyn-based rock n roll outfit Magnetic Island has hit the synths harder on their new EP, and, whaddya know, they called it Keyboard. QRO loved the Daydream Nation-esque strains on their EP Out At Sea, and the added electronic oomph gives them a whole new flavor. Good stuff for a 4th of July weekend.
"We've Really Bonded" weaves guitar licks above a growling Casio foundation while "Diner" foregrounds the electronica a bit more, with a layer-upon-layer keyboard crescendo that builds into a stormcloud of sonic revolt.
Listen to all of Keyboard at the Bandcamp, and download it while the downloading is still free! Also, catch 'em on Twitter...Stream "We've Really Bonded"
