After EP releases here & there (including the Keyboard EP), plus a past life as the impossible-to-pronounce former band Renmibi, Magnetic Island are finally unveiling their full length debut. It's a self-titled "how do you do?" that captures all the Sonic Youth-esque garage blitzpop that we love about the Brooklyn-based band.
We've got the straightup jammer "Whatever You Wanted" streaming below. Howling guitar, sick licks, kamikaze drum action piles up into see saw mountains of rolling waves of rock thunder. Sounds confusing, right? It's not, have a listen. Also, sing along to the slanted & enchanted ditty "When You're Finished."
And when you're finished, head over to Bandcamp to stream more & pick up the album & say hi on Twatter & Fbook & stalk em at their site & have a happy holidaze! Peace!
