Beige are a NYC-based trio that was one of my favorite finds at the recent Northside Festival. Saw them twice, and both times I was impressed by their ability to fuse electronic and live instrumentation into one cohesive post-AnCo approach. A lot of bands use drum machines and other electronic doo-dads to fill out their guitar/bass rock compositions, but not many bands do so in such a natural fashion as Beige. I hate to say things like "This is definitely a band to watch…" but this is definitely a band to watch.

Not much is out there if you want to enjoy these guys over the interwebz. Just a few streamable songs on their site, as far as I can tell. Here’s a couple: "Carrion" and "Gold Swan". Both are great, though I think the former has a bit more punch whereas the latter could be confused for late-period chillwave at half a glance. Beige is not chillwave, but you’ve really got to see them live to get that.

Hit em up at their site — you can find links their to all their other interwebz jointz, plus stream a few tracks and groove on their Tumblr zen. Enjoy!
