Seems like MMMP3s just gave Diggs Duke a warm "Welcome" not too long ago. Back so soon? Well, consider us late for the party on his last EP and early to the party on his gorgeous new EP Black Gold.

The bar has been raised with the latest release. Diggs Duke marries his familiar neo-funk, Cantaloop stylings of Gravity to ever more layers of warm brass. It’s especially noticeable on title track "Black Gold," a luscious duet of horns & vocals, moseying along at a luxurious pace. The songs here are never long — two and a half minutes at most — but they are no less lovingly crafted and intricate for the brevity. Each song is a masterful little miniature, like a delicate collection of origami art.

Easy on the ear, my friend. So if your eardums are bleeding from the Kraut Noyze 2x LP Best Of Compilation ’89-’91 that you just bought, take five with Diggs. Pick up Black Gold at Bandcamp & say hi to Diggs Duke on the Twitterwaves. Peace!
