There are a few labels I have short-listed for "must listens." Hozac Records is one. Arbutus Records another. Add to that list Wonder Beard Tapes. The Massachusetts based label serves up consistently quality underground acts that deserve attention and a physical release to get their music heard. Alumni include QRO faves Girlfriends, Gobble Gobble, Cop Magnet, and way too many more to list. So without further ado, here’s the next act to debut: Gutter Parties. Expect dense, meaty lo-fi electronic sampled environments with a few chillwaved world-musicky choruses that seem custom-tailored to wind up on Antlered Zunes — the sort of music you could pUUUt on and forget to change the record (tape).
