This Brooklyn-based outfit is anchored by two girls, Lisa Liu and SMV, but have been joined by many more throughout the years when they went by the no-fun-to-say moniker Renminbi up to their present incarnation as Magnetic Island. The guitars buzz, the snares smash, and the sonic surf rings as clear and true as the deep, dusky vocals on our track "End In Bender", a winnowing ripcurl of Daydream Nation era balladeering.
