Grizzly Records has been killing it lately and they’ve got another sweet release on their hands with the latest 7" from Mrs. Magician. The San Diego-based foursome (including members of Drug Wars) has a pitch perfect, mid-20th century radio rock twang. Sources report Mrs. Magician played a recent Halloween show with underwear avenger Nobunny. Makes total sense. Both outfits can write a killer pop song, concealing melancholy moods & fiery fits beneath innocent reverbed melodies.
Prescription Vision includes the title track, plus B-side"I Know What Girls Like". The perfect 7" to share a Root Beer Float with your sweetheart — even if your sweetheart is a life-sized, stuffed she-doll, like in the Ryan Gosling movie which people should have found way creepier, but they were all like, oh look, it’s Ryan Gosling, isn’t he a cute star-in-the-making, yadda yadda yadda…
Buy the 7" at Grizzly Records & find out more about Mrs. Magician at their site & Twitter & Fuzzbook & Bandcamp. Cheers!
