"King Knight" the title track of SALEM‘s first full length album does not waste time introducing the sonic terrain of the album. At seven seconds in the electric snares slyly starts pulling you into darkness where you can’t see your hand in front of your face. And that’s where they want you like a stranger offering candy. Because from here on out you will be bombarded with haunting waves of synth and bombastic sub rattling explosions that would make Lil Jon shiver and cower. But it’s not just earthquaking bass and eerie tones, they’re not taking you to a goth rave or ‘da club’. They’re taking you to church, a powerful church of a highly suspicious nature where you might be more likely to lose your soul than save it. Join them in the icy choir of lost souls whose voices soar through the bleakness of cold northern silent nights.
