Scars On 45 - Give Me Something

"I carved your name / In an old oak tree / But the council chopped it down / ‘Cause it was filled with disease" – the opening line to "Give Me Something", the new single by Scars on 45, is as fine a line of Anglo-tragedy as you’re going to get, and the song is reminiscent of British grand neo-New Wave like White Lies (QRO spotlight on) or Editors (QRO album review).  The rest of the EP goes prettier and higher, but is the kind of Anglo-emo you actually like.
