Psych-pop bombardiers Spanish Prisoners mix analog & electro tricks for a cool Postal Service-meets-Gorillaz-meets-La Big Vic-meets-Spoon-meets-Slowdive-meets-a whole lot of other stuff. It’s a mish-mash in a pleasant way, kind of like Sheperd’s Pie. Comfort food for the indie music loving ear. You could do worse than the catchy, martial tune "Know No Violence", a sweet single off their upcoming album Gold Fools. Is that a sly reference to Fools Gold, the band? Probaby not. Spanish Prisoners ply different regions of the genre universe than Fools Gold.

The band claims to be Brooklyn-based, but hey, who knows, maybe they migrated form the Windy City to the Big Apple.
