Wolves, straight outta Atlanta, comes on strong in the frightclub sort of way — you got to be in the mood for dour flirtation, 80s-style goth pop, Breakfast Club soundtrack B-sides for miles. When they hit it, they hit it just right. A whole album full of the hook-laden single "Twenty Something" and Wolves would have a huge golden-fucking-record-o-saurus on their hands.

On the truth tip though (word!) I gotta say that the other two tracks on their three song EP Twenty Something are a bit too Depeche Mode outtake-y for me. Kinda dig "Lost Girl (Man Apart)" but "Nightfriends" is just too much club banger shenanigans for me.

But then again, I’m not really an electro club guy. I’m more like the dude that gets dragged to the velvet rope club in his ripped blue jeans by his friends, the dude the bouncers don’t want to let in, the dude whose friends have to sneak in. You know what I’m saying? Nightclub culture isn’t for everyone — and Wolves is a band that toes the line between nightclub and rock joint. Gimme a holler when they’re playing the rock joint, because "Twenty Something" is new wave rock n roll gold.

Go stalk Wolves at Facebook & Bandcamp & Tumblr & Twitter   — run with the Wolfpack like Zack Galafanakis, or however the fuck you spell that dude’s name!
