Zambri – “Carry”

By Mike Gutierrez

cover QRO favorite Zambri has kept us all waiting with bated breath for new material since their stellar EP Bang For Changes wowed us (the Guardian , Fader , and Spin as well) last year and landed on at least one staffer’s "Best Of…" list. This morning Jessica & Cristi Jo Zambri, NYC’s favorite sister act, tipped us off to their new single "Carry", and we couldn’t wait to pass it along. The track sports the dense, electronic Baroque-isms of Bear In Heaven (by the way, Jon from BIH lends guest vocal to this track); the icy, aethereal choruses of Oh No Ono ; and the clean pop structures of Hooray For Earth . That’s good company, and Zambri figure to wow us again with new sounds at CMJ . We’ll be there, so come by and buy us a drink: get your Zambri on!
