In support of his latest album Dark Bird Is Home, The Tallest Man On Earth arrived in Houston for the very first time on Saturday, September 12th, to play for the intimate House of Blues audience.

Kristian MatssonKristian Matsson, otherwise known as The Tallest Man On Earth, was not alone on this momentous occasion. Armed with a full backing band, the folksy Swedish songwriter began to swoon the crowd with divorce song after divorce song.

One could really feel the heartbreak on songs like “Sagres”, but it was others like “The Wild Hunt” that really got the crowd going. The full band was a great addition, but would soon departure for a string of solo songs that had the crowd feeling it.

Although somber at times, this wouldn’t stop Mr. Matsson from swaying his hips and moving the crowd. The energy was felt from the balcony to the floor as songs even dating back to the initial EP were touched. After a slew of solo songs, the band was met back on stage for a round of rousing numbers that had the crowd in smiles.

The band’s tour continues in Europe, ending on the 27th in Denmark. With the full band and a newfound energy, there has never been a better time to see The Tallest Man On Earth.
