Alison Mosshart – “Rise”

You already know Alison Mosshart as one-half of the visceral duo The Kills, with Jamie Hince.  Oh, and she also teamed up with none other than Jack White as The Dead Weather.  But now she’s gone full-on solo with “Rise”, a driving a stark piece for these stark times.  Featured prominently in tonight’s final episode of Facebook Watch’s Sacred Lies, Mosshart recently put together her own video for the song while at her home in Nashville, using quarantine to teach herself video editing to boot.

We’re all stuck at home (unless you’re someone with a job that matters/is underpaid), but hopefully we will “Rise” again.
