The core driving force of Eskimeaux is a female vocal that sounds like it fell from heaven. Wispy yet powerful, ethereal yet robust, Eskimeaux rides the strength of the lovely chanteuse into the disparate territories of Enya-style ambient in "Discarded", Joanna Newsome-esque harp Gaelicism in "Hills", ice queen balladeering in "A Light", treble-core shoegaze in "There Are A Lot Of You", stripped-down acoustic (complete with guitar squeak) in "Nothing", and the FX-box-fueled instrumental featured in this post, "For Power Animal". Phew! Did you get all that? Long story short, Eskimeaux has chops. Go get yourself the freedownload of her full-length album Two Mountains at Bandcamp!
