This year’s 80/35 music festival, Friday & Saturday, July 8th & 9th, was a huge success! Regardless of the very hot and sticky weather, the performers and festivalgoers were all full of life and excitement as they took over the streets of downtown Des Moines, Iowa. The theme was cats, or nine lives, which represented the ninth annual festival.
This year’s performers included The Decemberists, Nas, Lotus, Wolf Parade, The Black Lips, Thao & The Get Down Stay Down, Lizzo, Jeff Austin Band, Craig Finn, Lucky Chops, Dilly Dally, Colleen Green, Ravyn Lenae, Holy White Hounds, Green Death, Vic Spencer, France Camp, The Pistol Whippin’ Party Penguins, Mikel Wright & The Wrongs, Druids, TWINS, Markaus, MAIDS, SIRES, genome, TIRES, MaZoo, Courtney Krause, The Dead Line String Band, The Smoothsayers, Goldblums, The Cardinal Sound, Easy Fruit, FRO, Odd Pets, Dem Boyz vs RAGEthat, Jade Reed b2b Brad Goldman, DJ RAJ and Strobe Trotters, and Jeana Calvert.
