2013 marks the fifth edition of Lexington, KY’s Boomslang festival, a diverse blend of cutting-edge music, art, and video. Presented by the Univ. of Kentucky’s student-run radio station, WRFL, the festival focuses on the more experimental side of things, from live envelope-pushing rock and electronic music performances to satellite events like Filmslang and Queerslang. It’s spread over three days and a dozen venues, so it takes a little planning to take advantage of the diverse events throughout the weekend. Here’s what we’re looking forward to most:
