Internationally celebrated musician Grace Potter returns to Burlington, Vermont to throw her own festival, Grand Point North, at Waterfront Park, Saturday & Sunday, September 16 & 17th:
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 16th
| Grace Potter, 8:45 PM While many jam bands on the festival circuit seem to have been playing forever, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals (QRO photos outdoors) formed & broke out more recently (QRO photos outdoors at a festival), thanks to 2007’s This Is Somewhere. The funky blues-soul act (QRO photos at a festival) earned major praise for 2010’s self-titled release (QRO review) and 2012’s The Lion The Beast The Beat, and got bigger & bigger (QRO photos at a festival). In 2015, however, Grace Potter went solo and released her first proper solo album, Midnight. Now she returns to play both nights of her own festival (QRO photos at Grand Point North ’15). |

If Phish (QRO photos) has made themselves into the next generation Grateful Dead, then Anastasio is the next generation Jerry Garcia. He’s done everything from play above the marquee at the Ed Sullivan Theater to get a Tony nomination for his orchestration of Broadway musical Hands on a Hardbody. |
