Interpol : The Other Side of Make-Believe

Like many acts that came up during the aughts alt-boom, and have kept going, Interpol have since entered their ‘signature sound’ phase of their career. That’s even though there isn’t the pressing bass lines of their younger days on Make-Believe, instead showcasing their tragedy with more expansive efforts on songs such as “Fables”, “Mr. Credit”, and “Gran Hotel”. If this record isn’t going to get your heart pumping like Turn On the Bright Lights did when you & they were younger, it will get to your heart.

It’s not 2004 anymore, and we’re not looking for something to revolutionize rock n’ roll or anything. Instead, just appreciate a great band that’s still being a great band.
