I first heard of Jessica Jalbert from the extended version of Kumon Plaza’s (who seems to be operating more under the Happy Trendy moniker these days) dynamite album Cliff. Ms. Jalbert contributed some dream vox to a re-envisioning of the track "Hans Kruger." I loved it so much that I streamed the track at the bottom of the review, passing over a lot of other great songs that may have been "more" Kumon Plaza-y.

So I’m pleased to hear she’s got another release, even if it’s only one track as far as I can tell. At the time of the Cliff review I did some light research and didn’t really turn anything up – so if you have knowledge of some vast online trove of Jessica Jalbert material, let me know.

Meanwhile, check out the track below, download it at Bandcamp, hit up her Myspace, and raise a toast to her native Edmonton (pictured right?).
