Keller Williams : Live

Keller Williams charged into Fort Lauderdale’s Revolution Live on Friday, March 29th, backed by The Hillbenders for two sets of eclectic bluegrass jamming.

The sold out crowd was treated to a rarity as the first set was a Keller solo set. Switching between guitar and keyboards, Williams pulled out all the stops for fans as he performed covers including The Grateful Dead’s “Tennessee Jed” and The Doors’ “Love Her Madly” with near perfection.

For set number two Williams brought out frequent collaborators The Hillbenders to help him perform a full set of Tom Petty interpretations. Proving that Petty’s songwriting has universal appeal, the crowd danced and sang through all his hits including a raucous “Mary Jane’s Last Dance” and crowd favorite, “American Girl”. Second set highlights included “Listen To Her Heart”, “Refugee” and “Here Comes My Girl”.

Once again Keller Williams and The Hillbenders proved the cross-genre appeal of bluegrass music as well as the universal appeal of Tom Petty.
