Canada’s Ketamines kicks it out clean, bright, and buzzy on the namesake track off their upcoming 7", "Line By Line". Watch out though; the next two tracks — "New Victims" & "Dig" — descend deeper and deeper into the raw rock cellar. This band sends out a bit of the space cadet vibe; the sonic alien phaser FX on "Dig" sparks up the day-glo go-go fever. Kind of want to do drugs now. Thanks.

Ketamines are calling their upcoming 7" an EP. What’s the difference between a straightup single with one or two B-sides and an EP? Who the hell knows…but if you held a gun to my head, I’d say something like,

"The whole point  of an EP is to give a punchy, low cost snapshot of what the band is able to do. Hopefully there are one or two killer singles, plus a kind of nice sonic spread of the various ideas that the band would knock out the park if they had the sort of room to work with, the sort of room that a full length LP gives you."

Ketamines show some tasty range here, spanning between the throwback rock-popper of "Line By Line" and the space-garage strut of "Dig." Dig it; and if you want a full album, buy the friggin 7" and maybe it will happen.

Hit ’em up on Myspace & stream more at Bandcamp & stalk em on Twitter & figure out how to get your filthy hands on the 7" over at HoZac Records, home of rock n roll degenerates & misfit toys.
