The American Leagues LP (2010) is in the rearview mirror for the West Coast band LA Font, a righteous Pavement-meets-Q and not U foursome, who are busy prepping for a new album. But it’s worth taking a look back to remind ourselves of the band’s pop chops, and, hopefully, to rouse up some excitement for the full length, because the band is heading into the homestretch of a Kickstarter to underwrite the recording expenses. 6 DAYS LEFT HOMIE AS OF 1/25/12!

The pricetag is $9,000 — that’s no chump change, but I believe this band knows how & where to spend that cash, so I’m looking forward to them breaking the mark and making the new album happen. LA Font has the songwriting/performance chops, the vision, a dynamite producer lined up, and a lot of local fan & media support. Seems like a good constellation of facts & factors, so join a winning cause and Kickstart some cash to pre-order the album digitally (or the vinyl, if you’re a vinyl type).

Head over to Bandcamp to download the tracks below, soak in the Kickstarter vid & follow the Kickstarter link to buy in & say hi on Fbook & Twitter & Tumblr & Youtube. Damn, that’s some social media.
