Brooklyn’s Bear Hands have always been difficult to pin down in the borough’s massive music scene – they look like garage-punks (QRO photos), are as familiar with electronics as guitars (yet are anything but chillwave), and even tour with likes of GZA (QRO photos on that tour). Whatever the pigeonhole, they’ve got a killer sound that is perhaps too skilled and interesting for any genre.
They just released new single “Giants”, already a great live song that has both punk sensibilities with electronic elements, even a hip-hop attitude (references ODB) – stream it below and catch the band (for free!) at Brooklyn Night Bazaar on Friday, November 22nd:
