I was just thinking the other day about the disproportionate amount of coverage QRO gives Swedish bands. But then again, Swedes are disproportionately talented when it comes to indie rock. Don’t ask me why. I was talking to Nervous Nellie about it in an interview we did in Berlin a while back. It just seems like there are a lot of great bands fighting for attention in a small country. So it’s natural that the talent spills over into the rest of the world. Hey, be thankful for it. Heart-Sick Groans are the latest gift. In the middle of the garagerock/witchwave/chillswamp we’re all drowning in Stateside, Sweden reminds us how perfect pure pop production can sound.
