If you’re in Chicago tomorrow, Sunday the 7th of August, head over to the Empty Bottle to catch the post-punk assault sensation from Denmark, Iceage. Are these youngsters worth all the accelerated hype? Oh my lord, no. But do you really think you deserve the next Beatles every time you hit the club? Don’t be a punk. Enjoy these kids for what they are: a kickass noise/flesh massacre. They’re teaming up with Toronto’s noise trio METZ and Anatomy of Habit to knock your socks off. Dig it.

Check out “White Rune” streaming below, off Iceage’s debut album New Brigade. Plus, we’ve got a gnarly DIY vid for the title track (if I’m not mistaken) of the aforementioned album. Looks like they’re trying to win the Most Likely To Have An Odd Future superlative award.

Find out more at their blogspot — peace!
