As awful as these current times are, we’ve also been discovering who is awesome. Particularly notable have been leading lights in country music, from Dolly Parton on down, such as leading lady Maren Morris. The country star pleads with hope for the future, for the threatened people in her Nashville community, for her own infant son Hayes, on the powerful “Better Than We Found It” and its video, directed by Gabrielle Woodland. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Black Women’s Health Imperative, the first nonprofit organization created by Black women to help protect and advance the health and wellness of Black women and girls.
