I’ve been hearing good things about the Baltimore-based artist Ricky Eat Acid for a little while now. Kept meaning to check it out, but sometimes you need that extra kick in the ass or a happy coincidence to find yourself in the right place to hear some new music.

Then today I was bumming around Turntable.FM working off a slight hangover, and I wandered into a room with Ricky Eat Acid dj-ing. I looked at the dude’s profile, followed the link to his Bandcamp, then downloaded the album Haunt U Forever and had a listen. Pretty cool stuff. Minimal lo fi electronic numbers, with the occasional well-timed, well-picked sample. The skeleton on the album cover is smoking a joint, and that’s a probably a pretty decent strategy for this record.

Download the whole enchilada for free on Bandcamp and hunt the guy down on Twitter. Enjoy some grrrl crazy tracks off the album below!
