Sean Nicholas Savage has popped up in MMMP3s quite a few times lately since I got back from my trip to the Great White North. I saw him a couple times while in Toronto, and knew right away this guy was a natural performer. The albums are no less impressive — especially his ability to turn on the stylistic-dime, from the Dylan-esque folk of Movin Up In Society, to the disco-glam inflections of Mutual Feelings of Respect and Admiration, two diametrically-opposed genres that he exercises with equal facility.
The latest release from Sean Nicholas Savage, Trippple Midnight Karma, continues in the synth-disco vein. The tracks feel more straight-and-to-the-point than Mutual Feelings, going straight for the jugular with funk rhythms and stardust moxie.
The track "The Natural Rhythm" is a big heaping pile of positivity that will get you on the dancefloor with that special someone, or your bedroom mirror. Download the donatable-album here (thanks Arbutus Records!), and keep on believing!
