Your Friend – “Tame One”

Lawrence, Kansas’ Taryn Blake Miller – aka Your Friend, Taryn – has released her debut EP, Jekyll/Hyde digitally through Domino Records and the physical versions are due in April. It features the track, “Tame One”, a downtempo, melancholy ballad that builds powerfully on Taryn’s thin electric guitar, a pounding drum track and her distant, strained vocals. Her guitar has a desolate, even Oriental sound and gives the track a compellingly mournful vibe. It’s an interesting preview of hopefully more to come from Your Friend.
