Nonpoint : Nonpoint The way I see things, Nonpoint have certainly made an obviously conscious attempt at a fresh start with their music in every way possible; from the creation of a self titled album – a sure fire way to make fans realise their intent, to the very music itself which blows you away from the very first note.  It’s heavy, it’s gritty, it’s everything you would expect from any good American heavy metal band: "We wanted this record to be a punch in the face … It’s a fresh start for us …We hit the reset button, and there’s life again.  You can hear it musically.  We’re not going anywhere." (Rivera)

Released in October 2012, it’s clear that this band have a lot to vent about through their lyrics: "The way I see things, I could use a serious change in scenery," creating increasingly meaningful tracks, not only for the band themselves but for the fans also.  Every single track is so full of energy; showing how much this band put into their fresh start and how much hitting the reset button empowered and inspired them.  "Lights, Camera, Action" provides that energy at full volume and displays the start of their very own chain reaction that will progress through the entirety of the album.  Additionally, "The Way I See Things" is a fantastic track; full of power, emotion and passion that will really get your heart pumping as the song progresses and you succumb to the wonderfully husky vocal chords of Elias Soriano.

It has to be said that the first couple of songs on the record are undoubtedly the best of the whole album with their raw charisma and passion that can be heard through the lyrics and vocals, the rest take some time to grow.
