For the third year running, Norman, Oklahoma hosted it’s own music festival – and for the third year running, QRO was there! Stretching to two days, check out all that went down:

SATURDAY, 4/24

Wild Moccasins should have traveled old school, partner

When Houston’s Wild Moccasins (QRO live review) broken down on the way north & couldn’t start the festival, locals John Wayne’s Bitches stepped into the breach, partner:

Opolis

Norman’s Opolis was the place to be Saturday night, with Norman vets like Colourmusic & Locust Avenue returning for an encore performance at the festival.  But so popular was the hot & sweaty venue that the fire marshal cleared everyone out during Octopus Project:

SUNDAY, 4/25

Jagermeister Stage

The mobile Jaegermeister Stage was another Norman returnee, and played host to the sweet country sounds of The South’s Leon Russell, Brooklyn’s Those Darlins, and Norman’s own Hosty himself:

The Norman Music Festival hit a crescendo on Sunday at the Main Stage, such as with Austin’s metal outfit, The Sword:

Nobody has a better time rockin’ than Electric Six (except maybe an Electric Six crowd…), and the Motor City mayhem continued apace, fronted by the one-and-only Dick Valentine (QRO interview):
