Chicago’s favorite shoe-gaze dream-poppers Panda Riot have an album worth of new material ready to go, but haven’t decided yet how to release it — so get ready for the long tease! Here’s Exhibit A: "Serious Radical Girls," a jangly, spangly number that cozies up on a bed of growling Stone Rosey guitars, a gumball trance rhythm section, and the ever-ethereal vocals of lead songstress Rebecca Scott.

QRO has been keeping up with Panda Riot since their breakout EP Far and Near — we caught ’em during CMJ in New York City, at North Coast in Chicago, and we even co-presented one of their gigs (along with the indomitable Cream Team) a while back, when Four Loko was still "original formula." Suffice to say, we’re fans. Here’s to hoping (imagine: a raised glass) that the full album comes out sooner rather than later. From what we’ve heard so far, it’s an impressive leap forward that mixes spare pop sensibility with full electro symphonic mayhem.

Hit up Panda Riot at their site & Facebook & Twitter & stream more at Bandcamp & watch for the new album who-the-hell-knows-whennnnnn….
