Modest Mouse played an exhilarating show at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre (QRO venue review) on Tuesday, October 9th. The iconic indie rock band began their set with “Dramamine” and “Missed The Boat” among other classics. The energy was electric, as this band has built up quite the loyal following in their twelve years of making music.
The set was full of nostalgia for many, as the band played through favorites like “Out of Gas” and “Float On”. They then departed the stage for what felt like an extended break for an encore and had many folks wondering if they were coming back. After a few minutes, they returned to screams and cheers and played a four-song encore including “Spitting Venom” and concluding with “Doin’ The Cockroach”.
Overall it was an incredible show and an absolute privilege to see this band live. They have one of the most unique and intricate sounds of our time, accompanied by poignant and witty lyrics. Modest Mouse, keep on doing what you’re doing and never stop!
