So making my way out to a show on Thursday, April 26th, I was asked to come and see a new artist for me. Her stage name is Oh Land. The minute I got to the venue, (le) Poisson Rouge (QRO venue review) in New York, I knew it was going to be a very energized performance.
Her new songs were off of Family Tree, coming out May 3rd. She sounded interesting during her performance, along with her older pieces.
The concert was invigorated with powerful processions in the elements of lyrics, and different sounds moving from the mic to the piano and then to the percussion of drum beats in her tracks played live. The crowd seemed into the effects of her songs and elements of surprise in new and old aspects.
In all the effects really drove the show performance to a higher concept of understand in her art form.
