Scott Walker is a legend. His career has stretched from teen pop idol origins in the ’60s to scathingly beautiful avant garde compositions in the new millennium. The three selections below are from the dark & difficult Tilt, released in 1995. Vocal comparisons can be made to Bowie in his vintage spook era, though the direction of influence surely flows the other way. Haunting stuff, worth some investigation.
