Dense, thick walls of samples & synth sounds define Seabright’s latest LP Lost Ones. Chillwave is dead, so I’ll go ahead and call this Seapunk. Seapunk, homie! Well, maybe not, but who cares about labels…?
"For Icy" has a tense vibe delivered in a laidback, leisurely California drawl. Seabright is from San Jose, CA — sorta landlocked, but the bay is within spitting distance. The ocean feel is never far away — seagulls make an appearance here and there. Do you feel seagulls? I bet you do. "Dreamless Sleep" is a harder-edged, instrumental ditty that sparkles like a sonic wind chime.
