If it’s too cold for you in here, then you might want to grab yourself a sweater… or just listen to The Neighbourhood.  The Neighbourhood, a five piece band deriving from Newbury Park, California, arrived at Cynthia Woods Pavilion in The Woodlands, TX on Thursday, September 26th, to play and provide support for the sold out Imagine Dragon’s crowd.  Much like Imagine Dragons, The Neighbourhood has been basking in much success over the years.  The band’s smash hit “Sweater Weather” (QRO review) has been blowing up all over the Billboard pop charts and mainstream radio.  In support of their latest album I Love You, members Jesse Rutherford, Jeremy Freedman, Zach Abels, Mikey Margott and Bryan Sammis began to take the stage.  The band’s silky smooth stage presence was felt as they busted into the opening track entitled “Let It Go”.

The NeighbourhoodStage presence was just a precursor to what The Neighbourhood had to offer.  The band’s unique, stylistic approach and in sync rhythm is what drew me in.  Whatever it was, The Neighbourhood had it to offer.  The band’s ice-cold vibes were on point, and it was a great change of scenery from the normal ‘rock-n-roll show’.  Personally, I felt the band’s highlights of the night were songs like “Afraid”, “Everybody’s Watching Me” and “Baby Came Home”.  I was all but ready to part ways with The Neighbourhood as we all thought the show was coming to an end.  Lead singer Jesse Rutherford answered our calls as he told us “alright, we got time for one last song.”  The band began by playing a melodic intro, a chord progression that seemed second nature to me.  Things began to take a turn as drummer Bryan Sammis began to change up the pace.  The Neighbourhood gave the crowd what they wanted to hear, as the band followed suit with the crowd favorite “Sweater Weather”.  If you are wondering if you should give these cats a looking, I’ll just say it like this… If you can bear the flock of fan girls, then I’d say it doesn’t get better than The Neighbourhood.
