The Presets : LiveIn America again touring for their magnetic album, Apocalypso, The Presets hit Boston’s Paradise club recently. The Aussie duo opened for Modular label mates, Cut Copy, with a strong performance and provided the perfect jolt of energy for the crowd.

They opened with their newest single, “Talk Like That”, which set the feverish pace that never let up.  The two continued to mix tons of new material with older jams, like the razor-sharp “Down Down Down” that’s become an absolute live favorite.

Every time they lit up tracks from Apocalypso, the audience responded powerfully.  “Yippiyo-ay” transformed the people into an ocean of swaying boogie, and the infectious “This Boy’s In Love” essentially forced everyone who wasn’t already aboard to hop on the dance train.

With all of the anticipation for the headliners, The Presets didn’t have an easy task of grabbing the audience’s attention.  But with a fiercely focused performance, their electro-grooves slapped everyone in the face and/or ass, and left a fair number of people with “wow” expressions on their faces.  By the end of their slot, the night was already a guaranteed success.
