Fast, loud, hard strummy punk rock from Calgary, Canada: meet the Shrapnelles. It’s almost a shame that such a catchy song is named "HIV" because you feel sort of bad about jamming out to it. But hey, that’s old school punk provocation. Take it in stride, and work out your hangups in the pit.

You can find this track on a 7" from Hozac Records along with "My Mom Is Hot" and "Desert Furs" here.  I dig the detention hall doodles album cover pictured at right. There’s another version of the cover that hews closer to the name of the 7", Asscalibur, so you can imagine what it looks like (if you can’t: it’s a bare hairy ass with a sword wedged in the crack). Total Garbage Pail Kids vibe.

Space the Shrapnelles My here, Book their Face here, and cop the Hozac bio h’yah.

In other Hozac news, the label is putting on the massive BLACKOUT fest in Chicago 5/26-5/28. Check it out!
